Changing the narrative, one birth a t a time
Hi, I’m Lavondria Williams, a proud Black mother, licensed midwife, and doula dedicated to supporting families through safe, empowering birth experiences. I believe every birthing person deserves care that honors their body, their choices, and their story—especially in a world where Black maternal health outcomes are still far too unequal.

My journey began in my senior year of high school during a life-changing mission trip. Inspired by what I saw and the desire to care for others, I decided to pursue nursing with the goal of becoming a Certified Nurse-Midwife. Along the way, I discovered the power of doula support, falling in love with natural, out-of-hospital births. This passion led me to pursue certification as a Certified Professional Midwife, and in 2025, I proudly earned my midwifery license.

I’ve been fortunate to experience two beautiful homebirths of my own under the care of CPMs. Those personal experiences, combined with nearly seven years of doula work, taught me how transformative, personalized birth care can be—and how crucial it is for families to feel seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Today, I walk alongside families as they prepare for birth, supporting them with knowledge, compassion, and advocacy. My mission is simple: to change the narrative around birth—especially for Black families—one birth at a time.
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation." — Isaiah 52:7
